What kinds of capital do we have in our family (social, intellectual, financial, etc.)?
What do we value as a family? What do we value as individuals? What have we not talked about together? Can we learn more from each other?
What do our parents care about? What issues have they addressed in the past?
What do the kids care about? What issues are on the horizon that need future focus?
What can we do together? On the other hand, what deserves INDIVIDUAL focus?
Families: Common Questions and Concerns
I have been giving for years, but am I being as impactful as I can be?
What are the many giving choices that I have?
I have never really stepped back and asked, “What are my values? What are the issues I care about? What is my philanthropic focus?”
I am not always clear what types of assets I should consider donating.
I don’t know if I should be giving now or in the future. If in the future, I don’t always understand what giving vehicles (e.g. will, charitable gift annuity, charitable remainder trust) to use.
